This August, The Perfume House will be hosting the first of what we hope will be many perfume-related events. To that end, Alyssa Harad, author of Coming to My Senses: A Story of Perfume, Pleasure, and an Unlikely Bride will be stopping by to kick things off. We are extremely excited and honored to welcome her to Portland. Please see the official release announcement below. If you are interested in participating, you can sign up by clicking the link below. We hope to see you there!
Please join us for an evening of discussion and sniffing at The Perfume House as author Alyssa Harad reads from her memoir, Coming to My Senses: A Story of Perfume, Pleasure and an Unlikely Bride. Harad's book tells the story of how she fell in love with perfume and how it helped her to find a new community, a new self and get married without (completely) losing her mind. Harad will present some of the perfumes she writes about in the book and talk memory, fragrance and transformation with those attending.
Books signed by the author will be available for sale with a complimentary packet of perfume samples chosen by The Perfume House. If you cannot attend the event, you may still order a signed book with samples directly from the The Perfume House.
THIS IS A FREE, LIMITED CAPACITY EVENT. Because The Perfume House is a small venue, we are only releasing 35 tickets at this time. If you sign up for a waiting list ticket you will be contacted if spots open up. (And if there are lots of you on the waiting list we may make arrangements to accomodate you, so please do sign up!)
You can sign up for the event by visiting http://comingtomysenses.eventbrite.com. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. Hope to see you there.
