Scents of the Silk Road: An Olfactory Journey
The Silk Road spanned approximately 4,000 miles, with its routes being utilized for over 1,500 years (from 130 BCE to 1453 CE). During this time, along with various goods, ideas, and religious theologies, a large collection of fragrant materials were traded. In honor of this significant and historical trade network, we have curated a selection of fragrances that highlight some of the spices, resins, and woods that were commonly exchanged along the routes of the Silk Road. Join us on March 6th from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm to explore some of the olfactory history of this time period.
We will also be hosting a scent swap during the event! We encourage you to bring samples, decants, or bottles - anything you wish to share or exchange with other guests. Complimentary wine will be provided, and tickets are free of charge. We look forward to seeing you there!
