"Ain't That Sweet is a grown up gourmand. Bold, but very comforting. Sri Lankan cinnamon, date cake, heritage vanilla. It's a night out in New York looking for romance, perhaps the notes you write to each other, and a cake that you bake—a sweet for your sweet. When first the world demanded gourmands, I balked at blending bakery & bouquet. But as time passed, I asked, “How do you do sweet but not too sweet?” I have made a few forays, but this new one takes the cake. It’s my ideal balance of sweet, spice, flower, & vanilla resin.
Ain't That Sweet is built upon one of my favorite desserts – Date Cake. There used to be an Aussie shop a few doors down from DSD’s first store that sold the first DC I ever came across. What a balance of dark malty flavor, narcotic spice, & warm vanilla. The perfect sweet.
This is a perfume with a bold presence. An elegant perfume for late nights with your sweet. One that lingers like the memory of a sultry sweet. A date night fume for sure.
