The secret of Vanilla for Breakfast begins with a Sweet Almond Extract, a quality exclusive to Givaudan and upcycled from almond milk, carrying all that tender milkiness into the opening. Almond and vanilla share certain volatile compounds, so the almond lets the vanilla announce itself right from the top. This is what gives the fragrance its power: where most vanillas take half an hour to bloom and then cling close to the skin, this one radiates immediately, with real sillage and presence. A touch of Benzoin rounds out the opening with warmth. At the heart sits an obsession: four different vanillas, each chosen for the face its extraction method reveals. A Vanilla Tincture, based in ethanol, lifts first alongside the sweet almond. A Vanilla CO2 bridges the top to the heart. A Vanilla Absolute from Madagascar settles into the heart and base. And finally, a Vanilla Twentyfold Absolute, the most enveloping of all, the kind that stays with you forever.
